Consensus protocols with imperfect communication network for smart grid economic dispatch problem


Energy management is one of the most challenges for the future smart grids. It aims to reduce the total operation cost when producing a certain amount of power. In this paper a distributed consensus protocol is investigated to resolve the Economic Dispatch Problem (EDP) in the next generation of power system, considering the power balance constraint and the generation limit constraints in the powernetwork; the randomly switching communication topology in the communication network. The implementation of the suggested algorithm is carry out on IEEE 9-bus test system.
